Intermediate Fair will be co-sponsored by LORENE STOTT in Memory of JOHN STOTT and by DRUMBO AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The Intermediate Fair is open to boys and girls 12-18 years inclusive, in 2008. All Intermediate exhibitors must have a membership in the Drumbo Agricultural Society and it may be purchased at the time when entries are made Thursday evening or Friday morning of the fair. Membership entitles you to show in any of the open classes.
Entries close at 11:30 a.m. on the first day of the Fair and must be in place by 12:00 Noon and remain until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

  18. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE SPECIAL -  Open to youth 12-15 years (as of Dec 31, 2008). Six (6) cookies, no larger than 3" and no smaller than 2" on a plate. Overall champion will be decided from the 1st place winners in the Intermediate and School Fair. The overall champion is eligible to enter the District Competition held in November 2008 and if successful, compete at the Provincial Competition in Toronto, February 2009.

    CHAMPION: MOST POINTS IN CLASS 84. Director's Trophy to the exhibitor with the most points. A prize of $10.00 will be awarded to the Champion - minimum 15 entries required, excluding specials.

    Trophy will be presented at the Fair's Appreciation Night October 17, 2008


Youth Poster Competition

"Promoting Drumbo Fall Fair"
"Original Hand Made Design"

Class 1)     Youth up to and including Grade 6
Class 2)     Youth Grade 7 to Grade 12


Theme: Promoting "Drumbo Fall Fair". Include fair name and dates of fair in your poster.

Poster Size: Minimum 11" x 17" (28 x 43.5 cm) Maximum 12" x 18" (30.5 x 46 cm)

Each hand drawn entry must be mounted on black Bristol board with a 2" (5 cm) border. Name, artist's age, grade, school and Class 1 or 2 to be clearly labelled on the back of your entry.

Winning posters will be entered in the district competition in November. The district winners will compete for monetary prizes at the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Convention in February 2009.

Judging Standards:

  1. Overall appearance - 20 points
  2. Attract and hold attention - 30 points
  3. Competition theme clear - 40 points
  4. Quality materials/end product - 10 points
