GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS 2023

ALL entries must be completed online or on printed forms filled out and signed by the exhibitor. Printed forms must be received by midnight Sunday, September 17 .

RULES

  1. Entries must be made online at www.drumbofair.com by midnight September 17, 2023. No Late entries. No additions on day of show.
  2. All exhibitors must have a current Drumbo Agricultural Society (DAS) Membership which may be purchased on day of show.
  3. Fair's Share: 15% of winnings retained.
  4. No Fair's Share or membership required for classes 6,7 and 17 unless entering other classes. 
  5. Each exhibitor is responsible for his/her own liability insurance, and may be required to show proof
  6. TWO entries per exhibitor allowed in Line Classes and ONE entry per exhibitor in Hitch Classes.
  7. Exhibitor must wear number in show ring.
LINE CLASSES
1. Line Classes - Belgians

Prizes: 1st: $45, 2nd: $35, others: $25

  1. Brood Mare with foal (current year)
  2. Foal of Current Year
  3. Yearling Filly or Colt
  4. Two Year Old Filly, Colt or Gelding
  5. Mare or Gelding, Three Years & Over
2. Line Classes - Percherons

Prizes: 1st: $45, 2nd: $35, others: $25

4. Line Specials - all breeds show together

  1. Junior Showmanship on line, ages 8-13 years. Prize: $25 each exhibitor
  2. Junior Showmanship on line, ages 14-18 years.  Prize: $25 each exhibitor. Prize money will be awarded at ringside. Junior Showmanship on Line is sponsored by the Ontario Clydesdale Club.
  3. Three horses owned by one exhibitor. Prizes: 1st: $20, 2nd: $15, others: $10
Best Heavy Horse

Best Heavy Horse on the Grounds - for best Belgian, Clydesdale, Percheron or Shire Draft Horse on line. Prize:  Donated by Draft Horse Committee in memory of Doug Mordue.

5. Hitch Classes
Classes 9-13, 17 and 21 - All breeds show together
Classes 14-16, 18-20: There must be two exhibitors (or more) in a class or breeds will be shown together.
  1. Four Horse Hitch, all breeds, not necessarily owned by one exhibitor. Prizes: 1st: $100, 2nd: $75, others: $50
  2. Unicorn Hitch, all breeds, not necessarily owned by one exhibitor. Prizes: 1st: $75, 2nd: $50, others: $40
  3. Heavy Draft Team, all breeds. Prizes: 1st: $50, 2nd: $40, others: $30
  4. Lady Driver. Proper attire. Driver 19+ years and accompanied by a capable driver. Prizes: 1st: $50, 2nd: $40, others: $30
  5. Light Draft Team, all breeds. Prizes: 1st: $50, 2nd: $40, others: $30
  6. Light Draft Single, Belgian. Prizes: 1st: $40, 2nd: $30, others: $20
  7. Light Draft Single, Percheron. Prizes: 1st: $40, 2nd: $30, others: $20
  8. Light Draft Single, Clydesdale and Shire. Prizes: 1st: $40, 2nd: $30, others: $20
  9. Junior Driver of a Light or Heavy Draft Single (18 years and under), accompanied by an experienced driver. Prizes: 1st: $30, 2nd: $25, others: $20
