President’s Message
Greetings All:
It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 160th edition of the Drumbo Fall Fair.
The theme of this year's fair is, "Come Celebrate - 160 Years!" Although the 2010 fair may appear to be very different than the first fair in 1850, in reality not much has changed. In 1850, local families gathered to compare agricultural produce in a picnic setting. Over the years, descendants of many of those same farming families continue to gather to celebrate their successes and to nurture that unique, and very special, rural community spirit. This September, come celebrate and savour this spirit with us once again!
A few years ago, as a relative newcomer to the area, I joined the Drumbo Agricultural Society so that I could get to know people in my community. It is truly an honour to be a part of this team of hard working individuals who share a love of community and a love of the fair. I encourage everyone to consider volunteering at the fair, it is a decision you will not regret.
