President’s Message

It’s fair time! Exhibitors, visitors, volunteers, members and donators, all have an important role in the continued success of the Drumbo Fair. It is exciting to see so many families experiencing the fun filled fair weekend where children can ride ponies, play all day on the bales of hay and the jump ‘n bounces, learn about the animals in Old McDonald’s Farm, get their face painted, enjoy children’s entertainers, Erick Traplin and the Ben Show and finally, join in the Great Candy Toss. From the colourful School Fair exhibits, flowers, and giant pumpkins to the beautiful quilts, there’s plenty to see and admire. Take time to see the Horse and Beef Shows. Visit the Local Fare tent to meet area food producers. Relax with a horse drawn wagon ride or train ride through the grounds. Featured on the stage will be Libby McGrath, Cory Gallant and band with their amazing tribute to Faith Hill and Tim McGraw as well as Kenny Rogers (Grant Rayner). All attractions, activities and entertainment are included in the price of admission.

The Board of Directors have updated the Prize List so have a look and see where you can enter. New this year is the Pie Auction on Friday night and the Amateur Wine Making competition.

The theme this year is “Homemade Pies and Family Ties”. Bring the family and be sure to enjoy a slice of homemade pie. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I look forward to seeing you at the 2012 fair.
